Start shopping for a mover – ask friends for referrals.
Start shopping for homeowners insurance.
Find new doctors, dentists in your new area.

One Month Before:
Start packing!
Save all bills – critical info here with account numbers etc.
Get copies of medical records so they don’t get lost if you’re planning on changing physicians.
Cancel your local newspaper.

Two weeks Before:
Notify banks of your move
Call post office and provide forwarding address
Make arrangements with all utilities
