This historic area derived its name from Humboldt Park. The various architectural styles, ranging from Prairie to Gothic to Renaissance, are showcased on Humboldt Boulevard where awestruck passerby's can't seem to get enough of the beautiful greystone and brownstone mansions, many of which have all the original interior features intact.
The park has been recently renovated and has a beautiful lagoon, flower gardens and wide open spaces. Residents enjoy the pubic tennis courts and have plenty of space to play with their dogs. Think of this area as an oasis in the city.
